Hidden Figures : Review (A Beautiful Story)

Incredible things take time, though it may have been a couple months later from the release date, it was surely worth the wait. This beautiful, inspiring story is something that has really sparked a whole new side of inspiration in me to push even further, and to be the “First” like those beautiful women.

Even through the struggles of trying to get the first man into space, while also trying to push boundaries of black women in America, there determination to achieving this was something that i felt throughout the movie.

From being mere “calculators” as i quote, to filling different types of odd jobs that black women weren’t even considered for, that surely is something my feminist side just screams out with joy, as that is the way.

Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.

With these wonderful words by Sir Winston Churchill, it truly connects to this story, and against all odds the women did nothing but soar up high to where they deserved to be.

I salute you Catherine Goble Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, Mary Jackson… and the many other beautiful women out there pushing boundaries.

And i certainly want to thank the beautiful, wonderful and super talented actresses Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae and the rest of the cast and crew for taking up a great challenge of bringing us this beautiful story, i salute you. #HiddenFigures #HiddenNoMore

And if you haven’t watched this movie, well what are you waiting for. And if you have already watched it, lets binge watch it once more.

Thank you for reading, please remember to share and subscribe.

Watching this particular story unfold on the big screen, it’s hard not to think of how many more movies and books could be made about women like Katherine Johnson—talented women shut out of promotions and meetings and elite programs and institutions and, thus history, because they weren’t white.
